A working mission at the Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute by Mr. Ghari Radi Abodi – Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Iraq
In the framework of working mission in Vietnam by serior officers of Iraqi Ministry of Agriculture, Mr. Ghari Radi Abodi – Deputy Minister had a visit at the Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute (FAVRI) on 27 March 2009. Ass. Prof Dr. Nguyen Van Bo – Director of Vietnam Academy for Agricultural Science (VAAS), Dr. Ngo Hong Binh – Deputy Director of FAVRI and some FAVRI leading officers participated in the meeting with Mr. Ghari Radi Abodi.
In the meeting with the Deputy Minister, Dr. Ngo Hong Binh introduced research results of vegetables, flowers – ornamental trees, fruits, amd sericulture recently achieved by the FAVRI and FAVRI strategies of main research in coming time. The FAVRI is always ready to cooperate, share research results and experiences in research and production development in horticultural and sericultural aspects. Mr. Ghari Radi Abodi said that Iraq is getting stable and rising. Iraq would like to cooperate with Vietnam in terms of agricultural field including horticultural aspect. Finishing the meeting, Mr. Ghari Radi Abodi visited flower and ornamental tree research and production areas of the FAVRI.
