Announcement Conference of the website VietGAP-Crop Production
On 7 Dec. 2012, the Management of the Project QSEAP – Department of Crop Production held a conference to announce the website VietGAP-Crop Production, becoming an online database that allow searching for good agriculture practices as well as safe agriculture produce, creating public confidence in agricultural products, especially crop produce.

The website introduces technical protocols of the National regulation, VietGAP, standards of organic agriculture and other standards as well. Certification organizations can present on the website their legal personality, consultant and specialist teams, certification procedure to the production operations to have evaluation and selection of their certification organization. Furthermore, records and information of the certification procedure of each certification organization are kept in their account, therefore the Department of Crop Production can check and follow the certification of the certification organization to their online customers.
Introducing functions of the website
The website also support in looking up information of production operations (Business name, produce, cultivation areas, productivity, validity period of the certificate) according to the types of produce, provinces and/or level of GAP application.
The Production operations are provided with an account which enables them to present and update their information on the website (establishment address, produce, business partners…).
The conference had participation of representatives from Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Crop Production, Steering Committee of VietGAP , of the Project management, certification organizations, specialists in VietGAP and the press agencies as well.

The website is expected to officially start working on 1 January 2013.
